Pavilion of the Czech Republic at EXPO 2015 Milano

Modular architecture certainly hides an inner charge and futuristic potential.  The features of modular structures that cannot pass unnoticed include their technicist nature.

Works of artists like Michael Johansson, Luc Deleu, and Stefan Sous prove that elements of modular architecture attract attention and inspire further creative achievements. These artists use containers for their sculptures and objects with topical environmental and social overtone trying to point out the inevitable changes brought about by the current lifestyle.

The beauty of modular structures is manifested more and more by the most recent developments through their high-precision prefabrication and the related possibility to build a real house.  Modular structures are able to produce various combinations of the module layout often with use of the impressive factor of extended upper floors like for example in the case of the modular KOMA restaurant.  Thanks to prefabrication the interior equipment can become an areal design gemstone, and the same applies to the facade allowing for nearly any form from picture motives to all-glazed unified coats.

Design modular KOMA structures can be seen domestically as well as across Europe, with a real culmination represented by the Czech pavilion for EXPO 2015 built by KOMA Modular in Milan, Italy.
