Extension of Holiday Inn Hotel on the Roof, Žilina, SK

The hotel extension is unusual mainly due to its placement on the roof. Another example of the variability of the KOMA system is the fact that the extension was first used as a relaxation centre for under 17 footballers playing in the UEFA European Championships in Žilina. Now the containers are used as a congress hall. The photographs show that although the containers are standard ones, the look of their interior is modern and they are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The walls are provided with gypsum board and wood cladding. The ceilings are clad with suspended gypsum board ceiling panels. Hot water heating is connected to the hotel heating system.
