In addition to kindergartens, the KOMA system is a suitable solution for schools, as well. An example of this type of construction is the extension for music lessons of the Hadersdorf Elementary School in Vienna-Penzing. The two-storey building provides space for a total of 100 students in 4 classes. The entry to the 1st floor consists of a wooden staircase and stainless-steel banisters. On each floor, there are two classrooms, a teachers' office, and social facility. There is also a barrier-free lavatory on the 1st floor – the building entry is barrier-free as well.
