„Let’s Be Modu­lar!“ or KOMA Modu­lar beco­mes Com­pa­ny of the Year 2015

The manu­factu­rer and buil­der of the Czech modu­lar pavi­li­on at EXPO 2015 in Milan, the Vizo­vi­ce-based com­pa­ny KOMA Modu­lar, took the award Com­pa­ny of the Year 2015 among com­pe­ti­ti­on from over 3000 com­pa­nies. KOMA rece­i­ved the high­ly pres­ti­gi­ous award in its 23^rd year of existence.

It is clear that the gene­ral pub­lic still needs to beco­me more fami­li­ar with modu­lar archi­tectu­re and con­structi­on, however, the Com­pa­ny of the Year 2015 award demon­stra­tes that the Czech Repub­lic has a modu­le manu­factu­rer and buil­der of modu­lar con­structi­ons which finds appli­cati­ons for its work across the glo­be. In this regard it is somewhat sur­pri­sing that Vizo­vi­ce modu­lar con­structi­ons are put to use much more frequent­ly abroad than in the Czech Repub­lic. ​„90% of con­tracts come from abroad. Modu­lar con­structi­on in the Czech Repub­lic is still in its infan­cy. For that rea­son we appre­ci­a­te this award all the more!“ adds Sta­ni­slav Martinec.

KOMA will go on fighting this situati­on not only by way of its buil­dings, but also by popu­la­ri­sing modu­lar archi­tectu­re in general.
