Our Fourth Modular Healthcare Pavilion Takes Shape in Vrchlabí
26. 10. 2026 | Projects
Construction work continues on a new healthcare pavilion at the hospital in Vrchlabí. The building, comprising 141 modules manufactured in Vizovice, will provide nearly 3,800 m² of modern healthcare facilities. Work is already underway on the façade, roof and interior building services installations.
The new four-storey pavilion, consisting of three above-ground floors and one underground level, ranks among the most technically demanding modular healthcare projects. Its construction requires exceptionally precise coordination between the various trades and building services systems, all of which must meet the stringent requirements of hospital operations.
The new pavilion will feature four modern operating theatres, an orthopaedic ward with 24 beds and a day surgery unit with a further nine beds. Thanks to this increase in capacity, the hospital could raise the number of surgical procedures performed annually from approximately 2,100 to as many as 3,000.
The new pavilion will be connected to the existing hospital building by a specially designed steel structure incorporating a modular connecting corridor. Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of this year, with the pavilion expected to welcome its first patients in 2027.
The Vrchlabí project is another example of how modular construction can be successfully applied even in technically demanding healthcare environments, while enabling the efficient expansion of essential healthcare infrastructure.
