New Modular Facilities for the Children’s Traffic Playground

Summer is all about movement – and that’s especially true for children in Kroměříž. They can now enjoy an improved Children’s Traffic Playground where fun meets education in road safety. And that’s not all – they also have brand new modular facilities, delivered based on an initiative from BESIP.

Classification:School Realisations
Year of implementation:2025
Architect / Studio:BESIP / City Kroměříž
Client:BESIP / City Kroměříž
Country of implementation:Czech Republic
Technical Specifications: Length of assembly: 1 months
Length of manufacture: 3 weeks
Number of modules: 16
Area: 298 m2

Fast, smart, sustainable solution

The original building had reached the end of its life – so we replaced it with a brand-new facility made of 16 moduleswith a total usable area of 298 m².

The project was designed by the Stemio a.s. architecture studio from Zlín, based on our recommendation. The production of modules took just three weeks, and the on-site assembly was completed in less than a month. The playground opened with its new facilities in April 2025.

Where quality meets budget

The aim was to strike the right balance between cost and quality. The result is a simple but fully functional building with an interior made of laminated chipboard (DP3 standard), gas heating, air conditioning units, PIR sensors, aluminium entrance doors, ETICS insulation system, and a secondary roof.

The building includes:

  • a classroom
  • offices
  • a bicycle storage
  • a technical room
  • facilities for pupils and teachers

Modularity that makes sense

Today, the Children’s Traffic Playground in Kroměříž is buzzing with activity. And the new modular facilities are working flawlessly – just like dozens of other buildings that prove modularity has a future.
